Mobile Application Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the Grand Teton Battery mobile application (the “Application”) provided by Grand Teton Energy Systems (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It does not apply to the Grand Teton Energy Systems website or any of our other products or services.
Information Accessed by the Application
The Application uses Bluetooth Low Energy to discover and connect to compatible batteries. It may access nearby Bluetooth device names, device identifiers, service information, battery serial numbers, and battery telemetry, including:
- Voltage
- Current
- Capacity
- Temperature
On certain Android devices and operating system versions, Location permission or enabled Location Services may be required by the operating system to discover Bluetooth devices. The Application does not determine, store, transmit, or track a user’s physical location.
Local Data Storage
Battery telemetry history is stored locally within the Application’s private storage for approximately 24 hours.
Saved battery information—including device identifiers, device names, serial numbers, and connection times—remains stored locally until you:
- Forget the battery within the Application
- Clear the Application’s data
- Uninstall the Application
Data Collection and Sharing
The Application does not require users to create an account.
Grand Teton Energy Systems does not receive, collect, sell, or share personal information, physical location data, battery telemetry, or Bluetooth device information through the Application.
The Application does not contain advertising or analytics services.
If you intentionally use the Application’s sharing feature, the selected information is transferred through your device’s operating system share interface to the application or recipient you choose. That transfer is governed by the privacy practices of the selected service. Grand Teton Energy Systems does not receive the shared information.
Data Security
All locally stored information is maintained within the Application’s private storage, which is protected by your mobile operating system.
The Application does not transmit this information to Grand Teton Energy Systems servers.
Data Retention and Deletion
Battery history older than approximately 24 hours is deleted automatically.
You may remove saved batteries using the Application’s Forget feature.
To delete all locally stored Application data, clear the Application’s storage through your device settings or uninstall the Application.
Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Application’s features or data practices change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.
